Somewhere Over the RainbowIt's 10.31pm. Day two in my new home. I'm really loving it. I moved here yesterday, in the heavy rain. Irene and I made four trips between the car and my second-floor apartment, and by the time we got everything in, we were dripping with rainwater and sweat.
Last night for the first time in a long, long time, I actually felt levity in my heart. Just the thought of having somewhere this warm and beautiful to come home to makes me feel so blessed. I can see the leafy green trees lining the main road from where I'm sitting at my desk. Also, from where I've positioned my bed under the window, I can see the night sky when I look straight up. It is lovely, lovely.
Now I have three homes. One where my heart is. One where my family is, and where my thoughts forever lie. And then this.

I've lived here for 13 years, and it's been close to four years since the last time I left. I was counting down the nights to this day and now that the final night is here, I'm sad. It's the end of an era which really ended about three weeks ago. It's time to move on. God, walk with me.
