Today was a slow day, so I decided to punish myself by sitting down and going through some old photos, circa 1978. My parents were/are such a beautiful couple. (Last weekend I caught them smiling at each other, and I nearly died of happiness at the sight.) Some of my colleagues are convinced that somewhere down the road, we eventually become like our mums, and they are living in fear as they await the day when the transformation is complete. People are going to laugh till they piss their pants if I do end up becoming like my mum though, because we are so very different. She's kind, humble, homely and smiles at everyone, whereas I'm stuck up, swear non-stop, bitch non-stop and fantasise about kicking children. So I think if in the final analysis, I do end up becoming just like her, I'll deserve to be canonized. After all, I almost believe 100% that the world is a better place because she's in it.

Anyway, I am really really excited because after dinner, I'm going out to buy a brand new toaster. I've been wanting one for the longest time, and now I finally have a legitimate reason to buy the bloody poshest, top of the line one because our old one got burnt out. I want one with a bun warmer, and huge slots for extra thick slices of bread, and a removable crumb tray, and a cancel button. Fucking hell!Toasty toast for breakfast! I'm such a lucky girl.
