Victory!! (NUS Lib Mission #2)

To those who don’t know.. I have had a library mission since last night:

The Central Library has these chairs/stools/whatever on the 4th floor of 6 colours : blue, dark green, green, pink/red, orange and yellow. Which by the way is the order they should be placed next to each other, if you wanted them to not look like a gradient of colours/rainbow spectrum/whatever.

As observed, they aren’t placed like that. Not anymore, at least. They have always been in the above stated position, but some anal-retentive freak went to change it yesterday. It must have been some librarian who’s out to piss me off.

BUT! It has been my mission to recity that! at least for this particular row of six! it only required a quick switch between the yellow (which was placed next to the light green) with the pink/red (placed at the end) ! and although I had temporarily given up my mission to fix this situation, a friend (fortunately for her!) brought up the possibility of switching the seats back this morning, stirring up a sleepless night and much anticipation!!!

So after much much much plotting, my friend was finally convinced to help me and within seconds.....

YYEAAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Just as they REALLY ought to be!!)

[heh... now it looks much better than before ...NUS Lib Mission #2 has been completed!!! =) ]

So, I have two weeks more to go, and I'm sitting on the red hot stove that Einstein used to prove his point about the relativity of time. If this were a holiday, it'd be flying by. But as it is, the beginning of the end isn't even in sight. I just had a 5 minute conversation with Lisa's mum about the exams, and how she's seen the way I study and get through everything in the past... I dunno... 12 years? And I guess she's right. There's a lot that I don't recognise in myself with regards to my abilities, but she can see them in me and she has faith in me and she's rooting for me. I feel very consoled now. Because after a longish day in the library, after completing my third novel, I have doubts about what I've absorbed--as oppposed to what I've read--and I worry about not having enough time to finish what I'm supposed to do, let alone go that extra mile which will enable me to feel at the very least, more prepared. I don't know why I'm so freaking paranoid sometimes, but yeah, at least this WILL be the last time I do this, and yes, I have people who are holding onto faith for me when I have none for myself. Because I think that's what friends are for: they hold it together for you when you're having an off day. Thank God for my friends. And their mums.
