Pussy Men Annoy MeThe last time I really offended a guy was when I said 'all guys are bastards', and he said sniffily that 'there are no absolutes in this world!', completely missing the irony of his own statement and then not talking to me for a week after that. Since then, I've made a conscious effort to steer clear of all sensitive new age guys lest I have a stroke trying to self-censor in their almighty presence. Until the day I threw all caution to the wind and
moved in with one.
I know I'm not the most politically correct person around, I'll admit to that. Once I joked that our mutual friend bore an uncanny resemblance to the silver piggy bank on our kitchen counter, and he wouldn't shut up for hours after that about how I must have hurt her feelings, and how what I'd said would haunt her for days on end and it would become her emotional baggage. And then the time I told someone he didnt have to message me on a daily basis, my housemate said I'd shredded him to bits.
And if I thought my mum was a prude, then coming here was an eye-opener because the rudest word he says is 'crap', and the one time he commented how one of my friends was exposing a lot of cleavage in a photograph, I actually felt uncomfortable on his account. Also, he refuses to hear about the linguistics assignment I submitted in which I said it'd be appropriate to ask 'do you come here often' at a coffee joint but not in a strip club. Everyone who heard about it thought it was funny, but he actually plugs his fingers into his ears and leaves the room if I so much as threaten to talk about it.
I feel like the biggest pervert in the world, but I know it's not true. I just wish some guys would really just get a life and some manhood while they're at it. And a sense of humour. And a higher threshold for harmless comments. BAH.
Edit 6 September 7.05pm
He's got nerve man. Such a piece of work. After ranting at me last night, he had the cheek to ask me today if I was 'still annoyed'. Damn straight I am. How dare he accuse me of being offensive repeatedly and then stalk off and THEN come ask me if I'm 'still annoyed'. WHAT A FUCKING LOSER!
