Over the past one week, I wrote 2 essays, had a dim sum lunch, watched a lot of TV, got distracted by
www.rougeonline.com, caught up with ex-colleagues, went grocery shopping to make smoked cod with salsa verde but forgot to buy the cod, met up specially with an old friend to give her an overdue present but forgot to bring the present, welcomed a new family member into our home, bitched non-stop with friends over ice cream and had dinner with my family.

I cleave to my anger because maybe that's all I have in defence. And it frustrates the crap out of me when that anger which makes me feel so good also makes me feel so guilty.
Edit 9.23PM
Men are such selfish pigs. They don't care about the consequences of their actions, all they can think about is glorifying themselves. They go out to work and think that their long day's work is license to escape every other responsibility. That just because they are slogging away outside they don't need to deal with everything else. They want to call the shots, they want it all on their own terms. They think money is the solution to everything, that it's the end all and be all of their lives. Men really disgust me.
Edit 9.30PM
And women are irrational freaks. And old people are a waste of time. And kids are manipulative and act-cute imbeciles. And of course, because I say all this, I must be so in love with myself. I must be perfect. I must be.
Edit 10.23PM
They keep outdoing themselves. They ask you what's wrong and when you tell them they say we have no idea what
they've been through.
I promise myself that I'll snub the next ten guys I have to come into contact with.

I showed my 1,091 word baby to my friend. A guy with a degree in computer science, but who has a passion for metaphysical poetry (the morbidity! the mortality! the subtleties!) We'd been discussing the poem a fair bit, and I thought we saw eye to eye. I didn't think he'd nitpick it to pieces, and this extract is only a tiny part of the torture. Once again, I brought this upon myself.
i'll check out ur marvell masterpieceu're gonna judge me, i know it
marvell-ous! why do u describe it as 3rd movement and not 3rd stanza?cos e lecturer calls it a movement haha
it's not a piece of music! and why do u have to talk about his male chauvinism???????u see, the judging has begun
i hate it when "modern" women read old literature and then project their stupid ideas of chauvinism onto the literature. my dear, u cannot compare ur contemporary world view with marvell's. it is not fair to be writing about marvell treating the woman chauvinistically. the thing is, back then, it is a norm
stop nagging
so it is not even a relevant issue to be tackled when discussing the poem
just get back to reading
it is like saying, back then, primitives painted with sticks and u come along and say, these people's art sucked. and how does that quote show that the interest is primarily territorial?
he is only interested in the physical
errm how does "the last age should show your heart" indicate that?
the heart is the thing that comes LAST. DOH!
my godno.. MY God
for the sake of the writing... how can he have talked about the heart first?
how i know!
he is talking about how much time he will spend on each part of her, beginning with a hundred years on her eyes and ending with an age on her heart. can u imagine him starting the comparison with, an age on her heart and ending with a hundred years on her eyes? does that make sense? of cos u'd be writing it down in incremental orderu see ah. the point im trying to make is that his focus is on her physical attributes. pure and simple. thats why it engages with my argument on geographical conquest. BODY POLITICS
yeah i agree with the bodily conquestsok move on
hahahSickening know-it-all. I better get an A.
