Rhetorical Questions
The Aussies like to ask 'How ya' goin'?' but I don't think they really mean it that way.
Then the Brits ask 'What are you?' presumably when they express surprise or annoyance.
But when someone asks these questions in jolly old Singapore, what do you say?
What am I?

I've known this all along...
Going to Mass today reminded me that there's more to life than exams and grades. This really isn't just one of those platitudes. This is something I really believe in, but I've struggled against popular opinion for some time. Being affirmed, and recognising that I should really start listening to my heart and mind,
my inner voice, has truly been one of the more inspiring moments of the week.
I've always been a victim of consumerism...
Until today. We trawled the streets for something and anything to make up for the pure shit these past weeks have been. We found nothing. But I guess I had so much more to gain, not materially where I am not in fact lacking, but spiritually... it was only the prelude to something far greater. It
is only the prelude to something far greater.

Today, I feel the new beginning of a friendship that I've already had for years. I've missed communicating with her. Just when I was thinking time had done us in, time brought us back together.
Today, I found out for sure that she is leaving. Come February, and then gone for two years. Maybe more if she decides to stay. And I feel so very sad.
Today, I knew for sure that he was dead when he was in the same position before and after Mass. And worse, maybe he was a she all along. He was never important to me, but then why do I feel so very sad?
So that's what we do to each other huh? We come and go.
