What is it with lousy sales girls in this country? I have been rendered speechless on more than one occasion when I have received crap service--I just stand there and tremble with indignation and anger, wanting to speak up, lash out, make things just in the world again. But I almost never do.
However I find it really easy to snap back at 1. children 2. parents 3. old people. It almost doesn't put things in perspective. I mean, suddenly I'm the horrible one? Picking on defenceless people just because they annoy me first?
And years after these moments of unfinished business have passed, I still remember them. I still harbour that anger, that burning desire to turn back time and physically maul the person (whose face I obviously no longer recall). I want to take revenge on a faceless entity who has done me wrong. What's the fucking point?
This society needs to learn many lessons. Not just the kind that will earn you a degree. We need to learn values and skills that don't have shelf lives, that don't expire when we're old and dispensable. I need to learn tolerance and humility. Everybody else needs to figure out their weaknesses and work on them. Lumping all our shortcomings together and rectifying it with Courtesy Week is just not cutting it anymore.

Little things make me so very happy. The breeze. A forgotten song. The memory of you who has never left me. A teleconversation with someone whom I've never really gotten along with before.
But he takes the cake. He is loyal, giving, constant, strong and always there. He strokes my head at night. He makes everything right. He loves the people I love. He loves the people I don't. He listens, and understands. My ideal man.
