It's amazing how creativity peaks when your human spirit is at its lowest. For me, at least. I keep inventing new ideas and thoughts which I want to write down immediately, but I never do, and by the next day I've forgotten everything. Came across 50 positive things - it's been almost a year. So maybe this year we try for 100?

10 special things that happened this year

1. Suede with my loved ones. For the last time in this life.
2. Discovering Bar Celona.
3. Realising how proud I am of my parents.
4. Debbie and I in paradise.
5. Short lived financial independence.
6. Growing closer to people even though we're further apart.
7. Gaining a little work experience.
8. Watching my friends get their driving licences.
9. Joining a cell group.
10. Karaoke with Karen Carpenter.

This is for Hannah who's still here.

Beautiful was walking around today in her slippers and a little pipsqueak in a green uniform who was out with her green-uniformed friends stepped on Beautiful's slippers twice and Beautiful got a teeny bit annoyed and she turned around and glared at the pipsqueak meaningfully and held it for a moment or two and pipsqueak freaked and apologised profusely and her friends dragged her away from Beautiful asking what did you do and Beautiful walked on feeling much better.
The end.

Eyelids closing... Soon... But in the mean time, I dream of chicken korma and freedom. I promise myself, the good things are close at hand!
I had a really nice Hari Raya today, eating all kinds of delicious food. I didn't know what it was but I ate it anyway. Making up for lost time really, since I am making it a point to eat less. Hah! With Christmas round the corner I will not be able to keep this up any longer, but let's just see how far I can stretch myself.
A phone call from Gerald was sort of consoling in a way. Take a break.. can't study non stop... blah blah... all that mumbled over the phone, and I felt protected in a way... by some kind of higher order... saying it's ok...
It's ok to stop for a while to exit the rat race to screw it all to fail occasionally to have a bit of fun to cut myself some slack to relax and enjoy the moment to let go of anxiety to stop being high strung to flunk out of school to fall down...
Yes, I think I can always pick myself up again.
So tell me again, what is it we're celebrating today?
