I guess I've been blessed. In a way. I dreaded today because no one shared the same lectures or breaks as me. God sent Serene, one of our seniors, in for the South Asia lecture, and I think she was glad that I was there because she too thought she was gonna be the only one there. So we chatted companionably and that was a great start to the morning. Lunch with Serene and Spencer (who was eating alone.. good God these people have nerves of steel). Two hour break spent taking shuttle bus up to the science blocks to buy a text for Invitation to Computer Science. Bumped into Charlene, from the good old days of Confirmation class. She's going to major in chemistry. Hmm. Took the bus back to the central library area and decided to get a headstart on photocopying notes. This is the part where I nearly died. I don't care to elaborate but let's just say I wanted to smash the library woman's head with my computer science book and the 2 other copies of South Asian readings that I was lugging around. I didn't get anything photocopied in the end. Not my day. Time for political science. I walk to the LT slowly, and sit for a moment at a table to calm down from library fiasco. God sends two girls from Victoria whom I recognise, and one of them is going for the pol science lecture too! We troop in together... and so my day ends. I am a lucky girl. Well I've rambled on and on... but the main thing is that God has provided for me in all my moments of loneliness... and I just wanted to say thank you God... for being my strength and for giving me hope...
Shitty thing about school is (I find this statement ironic) that I have had no time to do things that have become routine to me after the past seven months. No energy to jot down mundane happenings in my diary at night, or to prepare farewell gifts for people who are leaving... or even to spend some time with these people... it makes me so sad to think that my new life is something I have to settle into at the expense of much worthier causes... such as friendship, personal time, even time to just talk to my parents. One more scary thought. It's funny how in JC we made friends out of neccessity. Now I'm mostly alone by neccessity.
