Just watched Fear Factor and I'm amazed at how some of the contestants could put up with this really big mouthed slut. She just stood there spouting catty remarks about others when she herself couldn't even do the stunts properly. It's so true how empty vessels make the most sound. Intelligence is not about going on and on, impressing others with stories, quoting big names and masquerading sweeping statements as fact. Courage is not putting down someone lesser than yourself, or accomplishing the most unaccomplished things. I've never realized just how great some of the people around me are.

"If one does not succeed, that does not mean failure"
Spent about 5 minutes looking at this woman's blog, under the Blogger Recommended section. An executive turned freelance writer/photographer/artist/webdesigner. It's inspiring to read about someone chasing her dreams, but then again the opportunity to do so doesn't just fall into your lap does it?
I did some email thing from Paul yesterday and there was this question about what future plans I'm looking forward to. There are some things I'd love to do but don't think I'll ever get to do them. Sometimes you gotta start small, think small. No point saying I want to own the new Volvo S80 when I won't be driving anytime soon. If you've hoarded all these great ambitions that may or may not take flight, then are you leading yourself on? Is it something you can look forward to? Or is it another blind fantasy you're just building your life on, until one day you realise that you've become so materialistic that you've lost sight of your values?
It's tiring trying to keep your brain ticking. I used to enjoy reading Michel Houellebecq's satire but now I can't go beyond page 20. I devour Jane Green instead. Guilt free.
