Hel-LO December! I love you!
Ok, maybe some of you remember the self-help book I bought during my last bout of depression. I was so bored today I took it out and looked at the section under Forgiveness and Anger. I was looking at Anger Patterns Within Your Family. Then got hit by a bout of irritation mixed with frustration. Stabbed the book once and threw it down. You know, I was supposed to write 50 positive things about myself - hell, I couldn't even think of one. And it makes me realise, I'm so pathetic.
Anyway, I was bored enough to go to Orchard and buy new foundation for myself, so I went. Alone. I was kind of klutzy and dropped a bunch of coins on the floor at the cashier and this lady, she was good enough as to help me pick it all up. I was so heartened. I mean, there I was just 2 weeks ago, hating humanity like there's no tomorrow, and today someone warms my heart. Maybe it's because it's December, or maybe it's because the A levels are over. I'm just so glad that there are still some people out there who aren't caught up with themselves and are willing to get down on their knees to help a stranger. Even if I may not be one of them.
Kinokuniya is the best place to spend time when you're bored. There are so many wonderful books there - art, pets, literature, sociology, HUMOUR! I wish I had millions of dollars, I'd buy everything there. That'd be so great...

It has a name now! It's called Ming Ming. Everyone say hi to Ming Ming!
Okay, today Deb and I watched that French show starring Audrey Tautou. None of you are gonna watch it so basically, despite BBC's 2 star rating, I thought it was thoroughly enjoyable. The plot is slow, but it goes backwards and forwards like Memento, and the directing is really quite brilliant, because all those wonderful scene fades and how they all transition are precisely the things that stump me in theatre. There's a lot of unexpected twists and I like it for the fact it's unpredictable, it's foreign, and my gosh, THE VISUALS! How come Singapore doesn't look so romantic in the movies? Thinking Chicken Rice War.
I'm becoming a Christmas Scrooge. Walking around Orchard Rd, and hell, DFS Galleria didn't tempt me at all into buying anything I didn't need. Lots of nice stuff, but no willingness to spend - people like me will fail the economy here. I'm still depressed about the loss of my compact, which is lost inside Hannah's pouch, and I can't buy the same thing now because it's one of those annoying summer-only products. Do you know how friggin' expensive foundation costs? Let's put it in perspective - with 70 dollars you can feed a family of 5 at Crystal Jade, go to Disneyland or hell, pay for my taxi fares for the whole of December. If I weren't vain I wouldn't complain.
Me, being a true-blue TKGian [look at the marvellous pun] at heart, has a tendency to power walk everywhere and anywhere. Deb and I were power walking our way throughout the crowds of Friday night Suntec City and then I said 'Hey, don't we have 7 months?' Hehehe. Slow down to a crawl. Woo-hoo!
Typical conversation between my family and I goes:
Mother: Ben, you're back!
Ben: Yah, I'm going off to watch soccer with my friends. Came home for new underwear.
Me's thoughts: If you have to watch soccer with your friends, why don't you wear their underwear too?
Me: Why don't you wear your friend's underwear?
Ben: Don't be an idiot lah! Do you wear your friends' underwear?
Me falls asleep.
Another one.
Chris: Have a cow.
Me: What flavour?
Silence.
Me: OH! Cola!
Just being inane. I've missed blogging.

I'm dizzy with excitement! The stinking exams are over and although I haven't exactly been exerting my brain cells, I can't help but feel this ton of bricks off my back.
I got another new hamster today and it's white and grey with huge black eyes. No idea what to call it, the other one that you guys saw that day is called Trixie. It's aggressive and mean. It tried to kill my Dumpling. But I still like it.
I'm too excited to say much. I just love my life! =)

See which Greek Goddess you are.

Okay, rather apt considering tomorrow I will be freaking out over the Greeks section, which I am not too good at, but I have studied like hell for. Yeah. Bought more hamster food today. Nearly started a brawl with an elderly man who refused to get out of my way even though he knew that I was behind him. I'm really really sleepy but I must stay up to watch The Bachelor - can't help it, it's addictive in an unattractive way. Just hope that Amanda gets kicked out.
Crikey, it's really just one more week to the prom!! Agh! One more week to finding out my dress doesn't fit after all. And it will be my punishment for drinking too much bubble tea.
